DIRECTIONS FOR USE

• All Surfaces must be thoroughly clean, dry, free from grease, dirt or old flaking paint.

• All loosely adhering material and powder, i.e. distemper or lime, must be removed and a coat of excelsior bonding liquid or surfcon be applied and allow 18 hours to dry.

NEW WOODWORK

• Rub down with fine sandpaper and seal knots.

• Prime with Excelsior WOOD PRIMER.

• Follow with one coat Excelsior UNIVERSAL UNDERCOAT.

NEW METAL SURFACES

• Metal surface must be primed with the appropriate primer.

A. NEW GALVONISED IRON

• Remove storage oil with Excelsior galvanized iron cleaner and prime with one coat of excelsior gi primer or excelsior aqua-metalprime.

A. NEW MILD STEEL

• Prime with excelsior h20 primer red oxide etching water-based primer.
  (New formulation) or alkyd based excelsior GP red oxide primer or excelsior zp primer (with anti-corrosive zincphosphate pigments).

NEW PLASTER

Once plaster is completely dry. apply one coat of either:

• excelsior aqua- plaster primer (water-based). or excelsior pliolite plaster primer (goodyear france technology) (solvent-based). or excelsior alkali resistant plaster primer (solvent-based).

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED EMULSION (PVA/ACRYLIC) SURFACES

• excelsior aqua- plaster primer (water-based). or excelsior pliolite plaster primer (goodyear france technology) (solvent-based). or excelsior alkali resistant plaster primer (solvent-based).

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED ENAMEL (HI GLOSS OR EGGSHELL) SURFACES

• sandpaper thouroughly.

• apply one coat of excelsior universal undercoat and allow +- 18 hours to dry.
